I recently acquired a TRENDnet 637-ap to upgrade my network to wireless N. I have 2 wireless N capable laptops in my house (Asus g51j-a1 and dv7-3085)and at first only the dv7 could connect to the access point but after changing the channels and security both could. The problem is while both can now connect to the access point the dv7 acts like it isn't. It acquires an IP address from the router but then stops all connections.

After doing pings to the router it times out, all web pages time out, I tried to do a static IP and while it accepts it it times out as well. The Asus is still working fine and all network devices show that they can see the laptop but not ping or connect to it.

I have 3 routers and 1 switch for the house ( 1 router 2 acting as access points) setup in the fashion

modem -> router 1-> computers, trendnet access point. and switch.
router2 ( wirelessly connected to router 1)-> router 3
