A common suffering that many people are often oblivious to, is the use of drugs when we are feeling anxious, depressed, scared, etc. If you are using any substance when dealing with things that are difficult, it drastically affects the way you feel in a negative way.

Many people smoke marijuana to be temporarily high, when are in a situation of some sort. This strongly changes; motivation, happiness, performance, etc. Getting high may be something fun to do, but is not going to help in the slightest, when you're dealing with stuff.

Amotivational syndrome

Quote:Amotivational syndrome is a psychological condition associated with diminished inspiration to participate in social situations and activities, with lapses in apathy caused by an external event, situation, substance, relationship, or other cause.

If you are interested, look through some of those sites, they will tell you a lot more bout Amotivational syndrome.

Tons of people suffer from that, they not only have no idea, they completely reject the idea.

Just a little advice.

Thanks for sharing this information. By the way, you misspelled drugs in your thread name.
Whoa that's an awkward mistake, thanks.
nice one..even i am personally against the use of drugs...
usage of drugs cannot be stopped one fine day..but u have to reduce the amount of drug intake day after day..and maybe try a rehabilitation course to get off with it..
i once had a friend who was very much addicted to drugs..but now..he is totally against it..
he even takes classes to support the drug addicts to overcome their addiction..
I go to a community school, called "Sober Community School". I'll make a thread about it sometime.
Wow, I just Googled that place. That's got to suck. Why do you have to go there?
