I like how the site is clean and simple but i feel like the green bg should have maybe a pattern or something to it.

Eww no way. Sorry but I think thats an awful idea.

The green is a very neutral color. You're not suppose to really look at it.

Gray allready has a pattern. Adding another pattern will mess up the whoel concept.

Can you make/give some example of these should look like?

post some example,there are lots of mybb themes maybe you find better than this one

It's not all about the theme, its the content inside the forum.
But yeah we should install a few themes so we can choose what we use.
