I'm 16 and I work at Mcdonalds part time whilst I'm at college. It's not as bad as what you think, it's a good laugh. Money's decent too.
Why don't study better?
I worked fast food for years. Starting at 16 I was at Taco Bell. Later I spent 4 years of my life at Burger King. It was the worst job and the best job. The learning experience was huge. You'll learn a lot imho about crappy jobs and poor people. If working in fast food for a year doesn't motivate you in life to do better than you're screwed. In the fast food industry you'll see what it's like to get underpaid and overworked.

That being said it's still a semi-fun job. The great part of it is the free food. I was actually a kitchen manager at the Burger King in NYC right next to the World Trade Center. One of my friends from that era 20 years ago is still with BK Corporate and making $xxx, xxx per year as an executive. So there is room for growth and serious income with fast food. But you have to pay your dues.

At 15 I also did telemarketing. It's another crap job. Can't say I learned a lot or liked it but the options at 15 aren't many. Heck I've been working since I was 13.

Software kinda guy? Help people around your area by cleaning their comps of off viruses and all that. Improvise, go freelance.

I've tried that, but no one was interested. I'm assuming it's because I live in Oklahoma :/

I don't know anything about cars, except how to drive one. I'm pretty sure the mechanic shops around here require that you be at least 17 before they hire you, anyway.

Well, a lady is paying me $50 to design a website for her hair cutting salon. It's more like me getting some template from freewebsitetemplates.com and editing it, but still Tongue

$15/h is more than my mom makes Tongue I wish I had such a generous neighbor.

I don't really understand. I'm a sophomore in high school.. of course I plan to graduate and go to college. But, that doesn't help for the present.

Ahh, that's a great job. I know a local telemarketing place that hires 16 year olds. I'll see if they hire 15 year olds now. I'd love for my job to be getting yelled at by 30 year old soccer moms over the phone.

You are seriously halarious. But that would be rather fun, wouldn't it?

Yes, except the place I was thinking of has recently shut down :/ I'll stick with free lancing, I guess, since I can't drive yet anyway.
well Duties that 14 and 15 year old workers may not perform include:

Baking
Building maintenance or repair
Construction work
Cooking over open flames
Loading and unloading trucks, rail cars, etc.
Meat processing or grinding
Warehouse work
Operating power driven equipment
Transporting people or property
Many additional potentially hazardous jobs

so look for any cashier jobs
