Yeah, I think ESET Nod32 is very good, I currently use that.
Im currently using McAfee after recent improvements in the products detection rate. Recent reviews conclude that McAfee's detection rate has risen dramatically.
I would disagree.

MBAM and Avast aren't up there? Kaspersky is th only one up there that actually seems good.

MalwareBytes is an anti-malware product, not anti-virus. This thread is only listing anti-virus products. Smile And, the thread is not currently finished.

Incorrect, in a way. It's an anti-virus if you activate it.

Incorrect, in a way. It's an anti-virus if you activate it.

It is classed as an Anti-Malware product, since this is the area in which it specializes. You have made a fair point, but even once MBAM is activated it is probably still focusing on real-time malware detection. Smile

And MBAM's real-time protection is pretty poor by todays anti-virus standards.

Not at all. It's updated daily with nice runtime protection.
