You don't really hear about ruby all to much. Why is this?
It's a fairly new language.

That what I was the answer I was hoping for. I may look into it. The only thing that worries me, is with it being new new, does it lack libraries?
Yes it unfortunately does lack libraries, in the way that it doesn't have as many as python does.
it lacks the amount python does ya, but I haven't run into a case where I can't find a library to solve my problem yet
Its new I suppose. Well the framework thats bought it recent fame is at least.
