I agree with most on this thread, when you need to search you just think "Google it". Yahoo is cool, its features make it nice but I think Google's simplicity beats it. In a way Google would be better with a portal, but I just can't imagine it with one. The white background with the occasional seasonal logo has become an internet Icon.

My sony vaio laptop came with google chrome pre-installed and the default home page for IE was google lol.
