Yeah the show pretty much sucks, but that's something different than a game...
I could still play a Pokemon game, but it would most probably be because I'm bored....

Yeah, I almost never actually finish them nowadays. I usually get bored, start a file, run through half of the game because it's so short, and then never play that file again :p
I liked pokémon, then i turned 9 Smile haha.

Anyways i had a lv 100 and i raped the crap out of the elites or w/e i was addicted, i had that uhh, Full upgraded water thingy, he did like a title wave and crap i dont remember the name.
Blastoise maybe? :p
No it wasnt, well actually maybe.. Leme googlee some images Smile
I used to play PokeMon. I played it 24/7 from the age of 7 right up until about 12. (Early 12).
When I did play gameboy, I had Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Silver, and Ruby. Very fun stuff.
I love all the Pokemon games up to Fire Red/Leaf Green except for Ruby and Sapphire. My favorite is Red version, of course.
I'm 18 now, but I'm not going to let that stop me from enjoying an awesome game. I still play them from time to time.
I still want to own every version I like (Red/Blue/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal/Fire Red/Leaf Green - the rest suck imo).
I don't see why it has to be a child-only game just because it's popular among children. Also, Yu-Gi-Oh was a decent card game, but I'll agree - the show (Pokemon as well) was pretty awful.
I agree Psycho, shows are obiviously made for children, but it's not that if you're 10+ you can't play the game...
I also hate when People come p and say wow you child you have Yu-Gi-Oh cards... All I say is "Hell Yeah sucker"...

Though I need to say if Pokemon makers would have a bit of imagination hey could do a good anime... ;)

I agree x239082.
In every episode, it seems that it relies heavily on teaching morals and things like that, which really makes it childish. It represents these 'morals' in a childish way, though. Like, "I'm honest and therefore my pokémon love me more." or in Yi-Gi-Oh "I believe in the heart of the cards (wtf?) so I know what's going to be drawn next!".
