Hello All.

I've just formated a drive, using DBan (Dariks boot n nuke) and now when i put a Windows XP Disc in the drive, it checks everything. And then gives me the BSOD (Blue screen of death) It did have Linux Mint on the drive if that helps.

The error on the BSod screen is:

*** Stop: 0x0000007B (0xF78D2524,0x0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000)

Hopefully someone can help me. Smile
Ehrm... I think since linux uses a different file system, you can't install and use windows on the same drive.

If this error happens before the format menu, then its a different story, tell me, is this something like:
KERNEL_DEBUG_ERROR?
The drive has been formatted using DBan, and it took 7hours, so i presume it's something to do with that? I'm going to try Windows Vista on it. Smile
I'll take a look at that site. Thanks Smile
Yup the above is the fix
Here is it for the lazy ones

1. On start up, press F2 to enter BIOS

2. Expand the "Drives" section

3. Go to "SATA Operation"

4. Change this from "RAID Auto/AHCI" to "RAID Auto/ATA"

Try this. If this also doesn't work its prolly a hardware problem.
