That really isn't that bad. It's way better than having detention. Also, yes you did do something wrong. You got caught talking when you weren't supposed to be. You really don't have anything to complain about.
I hope y'all realize this thread is from December. My point: Don't expect the OP to reply to you =P

Oops, I didn't know that. I thought it was a new thread. Roflmao
Actually pushups would be considered cruel and unusual punishment in most districts. As it is something that is not normally done except for military schools and such. A teacher can not give you a physical punishment that is something that is not allowed at least in Illinois. I would check with a district administrator about this and see what can be done.
Oh one last thing I went to military school for a year, 100 pushups would be something you would get for waking up late. If you would talk in class you would have to run MILES. I used to be so healthy until I got married and got lazy.....
If you protested it enough, you would probably not have to do them, but then you'd risk getting sent home for defiance of authority. You're better to just accept what is.. Besides, push ups are a great, easy work out.
Teachers or coaches issueing physical punishment outside of an athletics class could probably get them fired.

My point exactly there not allowed to give you physical forms of punishment as it is againt most if not all school policies.
Haha, I found this funny. My maths teacher makes us run laps around the mathematics department if we talk in class. It's legal, and I believe, in good spirits.
he can do it and get away with it... like someone said earlier coaches are in a different bracket... when i was in middle school my coach/iss instructors name was Coach Bloodworth... man he was a hard ass from hell... you think 100 pushups is bad... he used to make us run a mile lap around the school in a group for every day we were in ISS then do sprints across the football field.. he was allowed to get away with it... so no i dont think its to harsh
