That depends on the web application you are going to use. I have magento hosted with hostingsource.com and e-shop with kvchosting.net. So far - no problems.
Note each software developer do have a list of recommended hosts which you always can to follow.

The prices are great and they also offer many services to help you if you lack the expertise to complete a job.
I've had outages, but nothing too long. I was down for over an hour once, but mechanicweb.com team kept me informed about what was going on. The price is right for personal and small business needs and the customer service representatives are helpful.
They are no longer very cheap, recommended!
