Hi. I have a concern that I'd like to address to the forum hoping someone can help me.

For the past couple of years, I've been gradually upgrading the quality of films that I download for viewing on my Xbox 360 and with those gradual changes, I've had to learn what new and unfamiliar video and audio profiles are compatible for playback on my Xbox 360. I don't know a lot about the technical details for videos so it's been rather hard for me to pinpoint what will be able to play on my Xbox 360 simply by looking at the file's technical specifications. Having said that, it's caused me a lot of frustration since most of the time, I have to download large high quality files only to be disappointed when they aren't compatible for playback on my Xbox 360 (especially considering I have a bandwidth allowance set by my ISP).

So, what I'm saying is that I'd to learn more about audio/video profiles, containers, etc.

Where should I start and what is a reliable source that I can completely rely on for correct information considering most of the users from torrent websites that try to explain how playback compatibility works in comments are often contradicting one another.

This is all that I found so far but it doesn't tell me all I'd like to know: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/s...vds-movies
