So I have had it for a while.

Error code - 0x008E

Can anyone help

I have to run in safe mode 24/7 for it to work. If I go to regular start up it will go to blue screen after like 2 minutes.

How do I factory restore on Windows Xp? and back up all my stuff.

I'm sure there should be a hardware problem, either Ram or HDD, I had similar problem earlier.

I consult you to go to a shop to check your PC.

Those would be wrong error codes anyways. These are the correct ones: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/...S.85).aspx

And even by that, without debugging the dump file you're chances are slim to none on solving the problem without a trial and error strategy, which isn't helpful whatsoever with some BSOD's.

Usually if the BSOD code is very low, eg 0xe or 0x0000000e, it means it's a hardware issue. Which hardware though? Like Ace said, check your minidump files, if you can.

If not, take as much out as possible. Leave 1 stick ram, on board vid, main hard drive. If it runs for awhile after that, put each back in separately and test.

If its a laptop, you need a screwdriver and a brick(or hammer, your preference)

But it's probably your vid card.

There could be many reasons to arise a Blue Screen problem, to fix it you can follow these steps.
Check your computer’s internal hardware, computer’s temperature, Clear up hard disk space, Boot into Safe Mode, check RAM and hard drive.
