It doesn't always help that much. Wifi on my iPod plays an important roll. If I turn the Location Services off, it only help a little bit.

If you're just out listening to music in the streets listening to your iPod is it still important though (when usually WiFi connection is limited to none)?

It does help quite significantly to save on battery life, and when you need WiFi then turn it on, but always turn it off when you're not using it and you'll notice a vast difference in longevity of battery life for your iPod I guarantee it Smile Location services use WiFi, so that's only a small portion of it.
It does work, i don't know what you are talking about.
I do it every time I go to school, no need for wifi for my phone in the school.
Lol nice man, same here, i do it while i am sleeping even though its charging
Geez. That was a really simple thread. I already did this and yes it helped a LOT.
Also turnning off Bluetooth can help alot.
Sounds like a good idea. I'm going to give it a try the next time i go out.
I'm always doing that.
I turn everything off, but still I need to charge every night.
