Exactly; by automatically closing threads 3~ moths old that have served their purpose, it can prevent spam and members spamming.
I'm sure 6 months is optimal, If you've been here for a few years then you'll know what I mean. People don't usually grave dig a thread before 6 months anyway.

You'd be suprised, really. Whistle I see many threads like that.
Wouldn't be a bad idea, although I do sometimes grave dig but don't mean to.

this is why Omni needs to pick up the pace with being an admin, or appoint a new admin.

How about automatically locking threads that don't get posted in after 1 month? So many threads are gravedug and their problems are long solved, the discussions long ended, etc.

It's not really a problem. I've never had a grave digging rule on any forum I've ever run.

I wouldn't have thought there was a rule. It's more annoying, rather, to see people posting in threads who have had their questions solved and things of that nature.
