If you are on any Unix based os(linux/mac) you can remote into another box with ssh -x username@boxname and run x applications simply by launching the application through terminal. Here is my dual screen mac with Chrome and the doc on one screen and safari and two X applications from my fedora box at home on the other screen(You don't need dual screen to do this).
