Could any of you guys give me some tips on how to win debates in debate class? It's my first time taking it.
Ive never taken a debate class, but I have done some debates. Just be confident and be sure to back up your storys/proof.
They should teach you, just learn to never say no.
Does anyone know if you debate religion in debate class?
I doubt you would debate religion, that might be a sensative subject for most people.

Yeah, I was thinking that also.
Try being stubborn about it; and even if you know you're wrong, keep on going on the debate like you're right.

Yeah, stuff like that is what our coach has been telling us so far. I think I'm pretty decent at it.
Just try not to accept your opposing side's opinions.
Always try to find other things that can counter them.
Give tangible backup info to your decision and it will work.
