Yea well, im generally a shy guy as well and I kept pretty quiet, I find it kinda sucks and its normally more awkward when talking to someone
I'd have to put it down to two reasons, I'm sure which.
1. You're afraid to be rejected, you may be insecure about something.
2. You think that by being quite you are developing a cool, calm, and collective persona that others will respect.

You don't need to be a social butterfly but you should practice your relationship skills, you may be good with computers but without being able to communicate to others that skill is wasted.

Good luck buddy!

That's bad .. you should talk.

To the OP, I'll suggest you to be like you're with your friends. Just be yourself, and I believe that it will be a lot easier for you. Just say it to yourself, hey .. it doesn't matter what's gonna happen, I'll be myself, and I don't care what others will think about me. At least It will be a lot better than they're currently seeing you just as a random kid.
Yew quiet gets you nowere make yourself know, get popular anyone can do it Smile
Talk sometimes but not always. You might get some problems later.
I'm also quiet in school, but that's only because I care about my education. I'm able to concentrate more if I'm not talking.
Some people are easy to get to know. some people it takes that bit longer. everyone is different, the worst thing you can do is cmpare yourself and try to be some one youre not
To be honest, I used to be like this. Matter of fact, I still am. Some people don't even realize that I'm in their classes. I started being like this ever since maybe 5th grade. The best thing I could say is that it's just the way you are. Soon enough, you'll break out of that shell where you will start talking. I am a Senior in high school now and I am just starting to be open to talking to new people.
Everything you notice depends on how badly you want to break out of that shell and start talking. I've realized after a while I don't care about what people think about me and I embarrass myself and my girlfriend as much as possible without being humiliated just to make others laugh.
I suggest making an effort to actually reach out to people and start talking to them. Good luck! Let me know if you need any help.
I use to be like this. I broke out of it thanks to my friends. They really wanted me to be more social so they tried their hardest and it worked. I'm now more popular for being me than just people asking me to let them copy my work. You will either break out of the shell or you will live shy. Either way, you will have a good life and be happy no matter what.
In my opinion, it isn't bad to be quiet.
But, if you branch out and become more outgoing you'll gather newer friends.
Remember, be yourself, but come out of your shell sometimes.
