I have been using blood shed for like 5 years now, can anyone recommend me a better one?

I assume you mean IDE, and not compiler? GNU compiler that comes with Code::Blocks is awesome, check it out Smile

use notepad++ as an editor, and make a compile.bat using eaither g++ or gcc.
