I am reluctant to update due to possible incompatible add-ons with FF5.

I found this site useful if people need more information.

Just do the upgrade lol....

If any addons become incompatible for you PM me and i'll modify them so that they are compatible. I've already modified all the plugins that I like to use to be compatible with version 8.
I use google chrome firefox 5 hogs ram and is full of bug's.
Firefox 7 is out, I think they named it Aurora.

Firefox 8 is out; Nightly. I'm using it right now
I dont really use firefox,but Ill test this version out,just to see how it is.

Which version are you going to test?
well i just use firefox, this new version is good as all the new version they're doing. All i got to say. :p

Was that intended to be a bad or good statement for Firefox? Because 4 and 5 don't even compare with 7 or 8, and i've never tried 6 before.
I upgraded to 5 and regret it, all my epic plugins are gone, most were private and wont be getting upgraded :S
