I have a Compaq CQ50 and it always overheats. Any way to get around this?
Install fans in your case.
It's a laptop isn't it?
Get a laptop cooling fan or cooling pad / stand.
Get new fans.
cooling mat would be ideal, im looking for a good one
Where do you have it sitting?
Assuming it's a laptop:
1. Clean the inside of it, especially all the fans. Those dust bunnies love to stop those fans.
2. Buy a laptop cooling mat. If you need help choosing one you can always send me a PM.
3. All of the above.

Hope this helps.

*EDIT* It could also be the thermal compound for the processor, might be a little bit old and dried up.

Basically sums it all up.

Also, make sure your not leaving leaving it on a surface that may block the fans.
Had the same problem, fixed it by getting a massive fan mat that my HP dv6 sits on.
Get some compressed air (aka "duster") and spray it in to the fans/vents.
