Full Version: "bridging" my connection for Xbox?

(Edited; I just noticed there is a Ubuntu Support forum, I'm sorry if this should be there.. Hopefully someone can move it.)(Title is a little misleading, I'm trying to hook up my connections in Ubuntu, to allow me to get online with my Xbox.)

I'm use to being able to bridge my wireless and wired connections, allowing me to play online with my Xbox.

I've got Windows still but I want to go completely over to Linux and right now I've got Ubuntu 11.04.. I've done some searching and people seem to believe this is easy. I've followed what they say and it doesn't work, and if it does work I'll have a Moderate NAT type, which is bad and pretty much nullifies being on Live.

What I do? I edit my Wired connection Eth0, I believe, I go and edit it. Change it to be "Shared with others" or something like that, that's apparently all I need to do to "bridge" my connection.

Any tips? Please?

I have googled this and have been trying to get this to work myself for the past two days.. PLEASE!! lol
Jeez that is NOT needed , click new DSL connection , enter usernale and password and connect through it ... I do it that way but no on XBox though
Like whyme said. It's that easy.
You could look into a program called Firestarter:

I have used it to bridge from eth2 to eth0 for my Desktop before.
