If you're looking to just mess around, I would recommend a Line 6 Spider IV 15W Amp. Perfect for Random Songs/Covers. It has all options built in too (Distortion, Overdrive, etc.)

Used to. I plan to start again once I get into college.

Line 6 Spider IV sounds pretty sweet. I'll be sure to make a note of it
