Tears fall down my face
when I see your smile
Its not how I imagined or what I had predicted
Its something that ran over me like a freight train
The way that I felt was superficial to what I was
That feeling held me, its too bad you didnt call
Now i'm left in a daze as I surrender it all.
Inhibitions, my will, senses, until
I became this empty shell of abyss now known as me
Left my heart unprotected, easy prey at the least
For a cunning demon, maniacal master named Love
I put you up on a freaking pedestal, above the rest of the world
What more do I need to prove that I am the one
Perhaps rip my heart out instead? Thats what you want.
I know this cliché, its already been done
But I love you too much
You have a head start, so go run
Away from me, the safest place to be
But it ends up being a race
To see who's who in whose face
In the end you smashed me up inside with a mace
Which is why I wrote this thing in the first place
You seriously need to jazz up the thread with a few paragraphs and different colors .
On topic - It was a wonderful poem .
Its a poem, not an article.
If you don't have the concentration required to read it, then try later Tongue
Kind of sounds like it could be a song, haha. I enjoyed reading this. I personally would of preferred the utilization of stanza's, but I respect your creative control to format your poems as you wish.

Good poem. And I agree that it sounds like it could be a song.
Hehe thanks guys Big Grin
If I can come up with some good music to go with it, it'll definitely be a song then =)
