I just installed one, and i am very experienced with such things, and that was th most screwed up wiring pattern i have ever seen in my life. Just wondering.

It wasn't color coded? lol

Nope, that was the problem. I had to guess on everything, all the wires were purple/yellow and dark blue/red.
How many wires was it? Was this from the deck or the wiring harness? What size deck; ISOdin or Double?

/Not trying to hi-jack the thread. Just trying to help.
Double, there was Front left, front right, rear left, rear right, and two pillar speakers. Respectively to neg/positive. The antena was all messed up, and for some reason the power wire didn't want to conduct power, straight from fuse.

Alright so you ran your ignition wire straight to fuse? Sorry I'm just confused. What was wrong with the antenna, and which; antenna to amp or antenna receiver to deck?

Sorry if i'm confusing you, i got it to work though. The person who owned it before my friend did, did a little bit of a homemade wiring job and nothing was right. But it's done now.

Bahahaa homemade wiring job, never goes right. I also hate it when people ask me to help them and then upon pulling their deck out, I'm amazed. They've wired the deck right into the car. What f**king morons!

Guess will resume flight and no longer hi-jack thread. haha
I know, i once did one with no harness lol. Wires straight from the deck to the speakers, i hate it.
The car came with a newer speaker set but I should replace it again. It's cheap. I already replaced the CD player. The car has an air intake. The previous owner raced the car and had a nitrous kit that was removed. Overall it's a fun car to drive around but it's getting all screwed up now from my bad driving. I drive it up to 110 all the time and put the peddle to the metal constantly. Also the previous owner removed the catalyst completely. I had to have that put back in eventually just to pass smog tests. I have about 90k miles on it and bought it was 50k.

Right now the motor mounts are shot and need replacement. Plus it won't be long before the timing belt also needs replacement. I can either put about $1k in the car or sell it and get something with less miles. I am probably going to sell. Thinking about a PT Cruiser or a Chevy Cobalt.
Well, omni. If they ran N2o in it, its probably about to reach the end of its life. I would replace the timing belt right now. But as a member of your forum, i consider us like almost friends, and as almost friends i would do my best to steer you away from the P.T.
