My dog sleeps in my room but he has his own bed. He is way to smelly and he sheds too much to sleep with me. Not to mention, when he does sleep with me he lies on my legs so I can't move.
I tried to let my dog sleep in my room once, but she kept waking me up and jumping on me in the middle of the night.

Never again.
My dogs, no. If I still had an indoor cat, yes. I don't like my dogs sleeping in my room because they stink up the place and get really annoying when something happens outside. They'll start barking or trying to get on the bed, ect.

That's another thing, they usually have that distinct scent no matter how much you bath/clean them, so if they end up finding a spot on your pillow where you put your head to go to sleep. It's not very sanitary I wouldn't think.

Unless you have a dog or a cat that doesn't shed, all that hair on the pillows and blankets would end up getting into your lungs and your eyes causing some discomfort.

The cat in question has short hair, is quite clean-smelling and sleeps at the foot of the bed. I do sneeze a lot more so some cat hair is probably circulating in my room ...

Your dog likes sleeping in the bathroom? Isn't it cold and/or damp?

Never again.

The family dog does this to my dad, who has mastered the art of wrestling while half-asleep.

im like the cat lover and the dog lover of my house sure i get mad at them sometimes but i still love them to death and yes they do
Yes and I love it. My dog just cuddles up in a ball like shape & gets as close to me as possible.

So cute!
No, my pets do not sleep in my bedroom. They all have their own little cute dog/cat beds.
