Probably quite a long time.. It looks like he's rotoscoped the whole thing which is a long and tedious method, but gives great results as you can see.

This is one of the weirdest animations i've ever seen.. And in some ways a little disturbing lol. There was another 'drawn out' animation that i've seen before, but I forgot the name of the music video that had it.

That was enjoyable to watch at most.
