"1. My Mom says Bill Gates sits on his computer too long

2. My Mom, says Bill Gates, sits on his computer too long

See what I mean?"

So is this correct?

If thats how you usually call your mom than yes, but if you call your mom mother than no that is wrong.
It's a good tutorial, though i don't really need it that much. Smile
But it's still great for others, who might have difficulties with the English grammar!
You should add the thing about "an" and "a".
When the first letter, in the next word after "an" or "a" has a vocalsound, it should be "an".
When it doesn't, it should be "a".

So like:
"Can I have an apple?"
"Looks, there's a turtle!"
"I've had an exboyfriend"

You didn't capitalied "I".
You're either not familiare with basic grammar, or just lazy.
I can't tell.

When you're using it as possessive it's lower case.
When you're using it to personally address someone it's capital.
This goes for mom/dad/uncle/aunt/cousin/etc.

You're kidding me, right? You have no right to bash on his capitalization when your spelling is that of a 3rd grader.
Even if you were just typing fast, he could've been doing the exact same thing.

Wow! Please don't flame each other, This thread is for educational purposes to help newer members. I am not making this thread to say "Hey, your grammar sucks" I am making this thread as a reference so members can learn a couple of things.
Hahaha! Great tutorial man, many people need grammar lessons; including myself sometimes.
Grammar can't always be perfect. Like someone already said, there is always room for improvement.
