Ok so I currently own a really crappy old Power Mac G4..

System Version: Mac OS X 10.2.8 (6R73)

It's such a pile of rubbish but my mum wants to use it for her business so I need to make it better!

Would it be worth putting the money it to bring it back up to date? Or would I be better off just buying a new computer?

It runs fine and has some decentish software on it, but that's about all..

What do you guys recommend?
I'm pretty sure this thing is like 10 years old, if not older.

Some more specs:

Memory: 1024MB
Processor: 450 MHz PowerPC G4
Bus Speed: 100 MHz
L2 Cache Size: 1MB
AGP Graphics

It has 3 Hard Drives

#1: 19GB
#2: 37GB
#3: 37GB
Dam it's crappy.
I probaly would just buy a new one.
Depends though on what your mum will use it for though.
If I were you, I would try to sell it off with everything and buy a new comp.
I would sell it & try to get your moneys worth for it, then see how much money you have when it's all done and over.
I used to have a Mac kind of like that, but even less specs. It wasn't really worth anything so I just sold it for $100 on eBay. I got a Snow Leopard now.
There isn't really much you can do with the Power Mac. If you were going to Upgrade it, best you could do is get 1GB more RAM (only supports 2GB), and get an entirely new Mobo for it. You could pick up a 1.2GHz PPC G4 Mobo on Ebay for around $40.
If you are keeping it though, at least Upgrade the OS to Tiger: 10.4

My advice would be to Sell it. It wont be much good.
I would buy a whole new one.
That thing won't be to useful for businesses. It will just run so slow.
What does she want to use it for?
Could probably sell that thing to a museum lol. Tell her that it will be ineffective and unreliable.
