I bought a Hercules Classis Silver edition almost a year ago.. Never had any problems with it untill yesterday.

When i tried to turn on my cam on msn, i got something like this screen (talking about the colored blocks).

When i plug it in my pc doesn't recognize it anymore, unkown device. I tried to reinstall it, but when it asked me to plug in my cam & wait a few seconds, the setup just freezes & crashes after a few minutes..

I have no idea what to do,...

I run vista home 32 bits, there is nothing wrong with my USB because my external drives & ipod still get recognized.

Hope anyone can help me...

Thanxxx!! Smile
Try searching for another driver for it? What happens when you double click it in "My Computer"
does it work from there? I have never used that camera before. Does your computer crash often? What AV are you running? How much spare space is on your Hard Drive? How many programs are currently "RUNNING" on your computer?

Start>Run>msconfig

"press enter"

Check Services and Startup tabs.

You could also try Trouble shooting it in device manager.

Start>Control Panel>System>Hardware Tab>Device Manager>

Scroll down and find the "Unknown Device" / your Camera, double click on it and then select Trouble Shoot. You could also try double clicking it then right clicking it (in the device manager) and selecting update driver.

I'm using XP, not 100% sure with Vista, i never use it. Good Luck Smile

I can't find another driver for it, already searched for thatBig Grin It's not installed anymore, so it isn't in my computer ...

My pc is running good, like it always is,
I use AVG Free, never had any problems Big Grin
I have 100 gb of free space, so that isn't the problem i think..
I have 60 processes running, which is normal for my pc..

When i go to device manager, it isn't there, so i can't click on any trouble shooting or anything .. :/

I hate AVG free! Where did you search for the driver? i bet it can be found.
Is this it? http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/SCANNER...2810.shtml give me more details about it. If it is? try reinstall the driver. If it's only a couple of years old, the driver can most likely be found. Search harder Big Grin If you manage to install a driver for it and it still doesn't work, try what i posted previously.
i have the driver on cd + i already tried this one.. + i tried another to
It works untill it asks me to plug in my cam... & then it freezes :S .. weird Big Grin

Maybe it's fried? Test it on another computer. Kill a few of the processes on your comp. Maybe it's time to get a new camera, they don't cost much.
I don't have another computer to test it on, & i'm tired of trying things haha..

I'l just buy another one i think..

thx for your help anywayz!
Perhaps a faulty usb port?
Try another port.
