Hello all:

I am trying to install Ubuntu on a virtual machine but I always get stuck at the same part. Here are the steps I have been taking:
  1. Capture physical drive D with Ubuntu live cd in it
  2. REstart the VM
  3. Load up to ubuntu install screen
  4. Press F4 and choose safe graphical mode
  5. Select try using linux with no change to your computer (So that I can install it later)

It works up until that point and then it stops at this point and I don't know what to do.
5.Select try using linux with no change to your computer (So that I can install it later)

this will just let it run in LIVE mode. You wanted to install it right, not run it right away?

Q

Yes, I wanted to install it. I ended up using VirtualBox instead of Microsoft Virtual PC and everything worked fine so my problem is solved.

End thread.
I never knew that installing Ubuntu on VM was hard. Use VMware or VirtualBox. They are much betta. I recommend VMware. Its more easy to use.
