Not at all. I wanna respect her and show her that I can have a relationship with her.
Just try and talk to her and she how she is acting.
just do what i do get her talking (very easy) let her blah blah blah for awhile then after an hour when she stops talking and there is akward lull in the coversation draw it out and then lean over and kiss her.
It's her birthday tomorrow, should I ask if she wants a birthday hug or is that to far for just a normal talk?
The best way of approaching a girl is by talking to her. Get to know her, or chat with her online, or so.
Girls like it when they have someone "special" to talk to. Slowly earn her trust.

Being honest is the best imho.
Just talk to her honestly and see how she feels. If she doesn't feel the same, there's always more girls.
