I am reopening this thread mainly because it's not about HuNt3R. He is banned here now and at HF. He had a duplicate account there anyways and was a previously banned member.

As you can see...reputation can be useful and imho. Those with lots of negatives are usually the bad members. What's frightening is how often they don't believe that.

To contribute: I don't care how much reputation you have, even high rep people can be completely arrogant bastards, not to mention mods get +reps for no apparent reason. (being a mod isn't a valid reason to get +rep)
The rep system is great. If someone abuses it just ignore it and report it to a mod and move on. If you get -repped there usually is a reason behind it. It's there to show everyone else how you are thought of on the forums. Once all the immature kids either get banned or get bored because they can't post hacking content here and leave the rep system shouldn't be abused as much.
