Okay my brother is in the army and left his pc here with me to reinstall a copy of Win 7, When he left (Sadly to Afghanistan) i tried to reboot it with my win 7 disk in it. The power came on but it never came to an install screen. I didn't get splash screen or anything, Could you guys please help.
did you made the cd?
Yes, previously installed on 4 different computers.
Was his compute able to boot before you tried the disc?
I believe so, but before he left he had a new hard drive installed. Could that make a difference?

No, not with the new one, im going to put the old one in and see what happens.
Hm. It sounds like you have a problem with your BIOS. I had this problem quite recently. I had to go download an up-to-date BIOS for my system on a thumbdrive, and...

crap I can't really remember, but when I started it I think I had to hold alt and the power button or esc and the power button to make it install from thumbdrive.
If you can remember please tell me i want to know how.
