It's Sephiroth from FFVII Blackhat

Sorry, but do you mean that my avatar would be really nice for an icon? because I could do that too. You can make animated .ico files, some people use them for favicons for bookmarks, but I'm not entirely sure if it's that compatible. I haven't looked into it though, so don't judge my words there.

I usually just stick to 'static' images for icons, but I believe it can be done.

If you wanted to know how I made the avatar, or how I made the .ico (Icons), I can tell you how I did both. I'm just not sure which one you want to know how to do yet lol. I would assume that the comment is entirely about my avatar.

If you want, there's easier ways to make .ico's by converting png image files into the .ico format here: http://www.convertico.com/

If you want to know how I did the avatar, it's just been taken out of a flash video, and i added a few gradients to it, changed the contrast, and desaturated it into a few gif animation frames.

Edit: animated favicons are already supported. But if you want animated desktop icons for instance, then you'll have to download something to view them in an animated state. ico's are used most commonly for favicons and desktop icons, but desktop icons can't be readily animated.

Lol I meant Sephiroth, I can't fathom why the hell I said Cloud, and FFVII is my favorite game? WTF? lol Why did I say that?

No lol I didn't mean as an icon, although that would be pretty cool, but I meant as an avatar in general, if you made it, you did a really good job on it, especially for just an avatar.

EDIT: Not to mention your sig is pretty tight, too.
Thanks I appreciate it. lol yeah everyone knows who sephiroth is if they are fans of FF Smile One of the best game characters ever invented in my opinion.
Don't like the icon sorry.
Looks ugly to me, the outer glow actually makes the text harder to read as it looks blurry.
It doesn't look very appealing.
:S lol I don't know where you got that from. If I took the glow off you wouldn't be able to see the text since it's common to have a black colored desktop. strokes, are even worse, and the text itself is sharp, the glow doesn't have any effect on the blurriness of the text unless they are the same color usually.

Give me some advice on how to improve it, or why that is a bad thing, and i'll consider Smile

You have to see it as an icon to see what it would actually look like for the size as well.
i like the icon but your signature is awesome lol

thanks Smile unfortunately I can't turn that animation into an icon, since it's not supported on Windows, unless you have a program to analyze the animations.
Try to make it look more 3D.
Very nice i can moderate it with photoshop since i've learned how to use it i now can do pretty good Icons, turn them to more stylish -
