I have a quad core processor, this means it will increase the speed a lot if I try this?

yeah, if you set it to boot from all your processors (4 since you have a quad core like me)

You wont really notice it though unless you are running a lot of processes

Most likely Camtasia Studio, that would be my guess. If you would like a more in detail version of this with lots more information on how to increase boot speed.
