If you want to become part of the graphics world, I would recommend this software. Adobe Photoshop CS5 is a lot different from the rest as well, since they have added in a place for animations. (animated gifs)
If you want to become part of the graphics world, I would recommend other software as well as Photoshop... Photoshop is primarily A photo manipulation tool. Yes it has functions which are useful for Graphic Design but you really shouldn't stick to just using that 1 software for everything. There are programs like;
- Adobe Illustrator CS5
- Adobe InDesign CS5
- Cinema 4D
- CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5
All of which have there own unique features and tools which will help you with creating graphics.
