i was under the impression this forum was called EMOTIONAL SUPPORT. some of you are very vicious quite unsupportive in fact and clearly cant read.
me and my partner have not split up no we are still together, does anyone here think its an easy decision to give your child away. fudge off. its the most selfless not SELFISH decision i have made in my life.
my son is being brought up by someone else, someone who have taken over from day one.
it shouldnt matter if i have 50 children, if im woman enough to admit i have a problem and need a little help then great, to keep my son living with me and not feel the love i should feel for him THAT would be selfish.
to allow him to be interacted with, and to feel the secuirty i never felt when i was growing up thats what he deserves until i can be the mother he deserves.
unfortunately to be on a counselling waiting list took well over 9 months to be seen, then to pluck up the courage to talk about the past with a stranger is difficult too.
so for those of you who are saying all these awful things, im betting either you have never had a horrible childhood, never had abandonment issues, probably dont have children and have a very settled life.
if im going to be made to feel like crap because im honest then people like you people should NOT be on an emotional SUPPORT forum, cos your comments were far from supportive

Um Wow. You do know this forum is not all about emotional support.
Wow, long and sad story. I hope everything turns out well for you and your son.
To be honest, I don't see how anyone could resent their own child.
I'm not sure how some people live, but my kids are the ultimate thing
in my life. I honestly feel, if I didn't have them, I would be nothing.

You not being with your son is your own fault.
You need to learn to take responsibility for your actions and grow up.
I'm sure you may thing you need emotional support right now,
but in reality, you just need a huge wake up call.

I'm sorry if I didn't tell you what you 'wanted' to hear.

Good luck with everything.
hope everything goes well to !!
Hope everything goes well for you mate, don't feel bad on expressing yourself on here.
