This is going to be our website here, Tell me what you think we haven't started yet this is just the basic layout/design of the website.

http://hfclan.ucoz.com/ Tell me what you guys think I'm open to all criticism.
When your on the forum the banner doesn't go right to the edge of the page. Smile
The colour scheme looks good but clearly you still have work to do Tongue
It would be better if you had the url www.hfclan.com Big Grin
But you would have to buy that of the current owner.
www.hf-clan.com isn't taken.

Well thanks for the opinions I do appreciate that and will take this in consideration to make this better for all of our members. If you would like to help out or suggest anything at all guys feel free to keep on posting.
ucoz.com seems like an attractive website builder. Is there any reason you didn't want to maintain a forum only?

Domain names can attract and also repel visitors. Give some thought to whether the name you have chosen could be more creative, and whether you can invest in a .com or .net. If you want to create a successful clan site which members are proud to belong to, this initial investment has to be made.

I'm not paying for any other website I pay enough to keep this forum and HF alive. As well as the other members that pay.
That's fine. Keep an eye out for forums with domain competitions, like http://everybb.com/ where you can win domains.

Tell me more about what you designed for the site. It is actually a nice change from the MyBB forums that are often showcased here. The translucent board is neat.

Well it's actually for the new HackForums Clan we got going on Xbox 360 now. But they are strict rules that will be enforced and It's going to be run by The Rated R Superstar and I. He keeps saying he will speak to Omni about getting a strict section in the forum but put a password on it or something like that. But he has been saying this all week long and I know for a fact he hasn't spoken with Omni yet, SO I took it upon myself to go ahead and create a new website for the clan. I'm not done yet it's just a rough draft of what it's going to look like, I hired Sam to help out but I'm sure he got busy or something.
I like your determined spirit.

I looked over ucoz.com services, and it seems to be well-recommended. So the next step is to set up forum categories and sections with descriptions, and familiarise yourself with account features which you can offer to your forum members. Fill up the forum sections with a few threads and add descriptions to the rest of the website, before you officially launch it.

It is always helpful to have a support community made up of fellow administrators, so I suggest joining http://www.theadminzone.com/ where you can seek opinions specific to administrative issues.

Keep us updated on your website development.
