I think the site was dead and wasn't going anywhere, therefore instead of waiting time and money on it he just merged it hear to improve our stats.

I believe they're all inactive, but like Omni said, he did it for the site rank and whatnot, and he also said most posts/threads were relevant to SF's forums.

No I don't think so. I never mentioned that as a benefit or reason I did it.
