Could you share the sites with me? I would like to put some feedback on the schools, if my opinion matters Big Grin
Where do you live?
I live in Melbourne Australia.
Here is the school i am looking into currently.
http://www.kingswood.vic.edu.au/
This school looks promising. I read through some of the documents and there bullying policy impressed me. I think the ICT center is quite advanced for a primary school.

With only 314 students this looks like a positive choice Damnik.
http://www.heathertonchristiancollege.com/ thats a private one i am also looking at. Not that i am religious. But i dont think that matters ultimately as my kids have not decided on religion yet.

My kids education is. But i do question if private can really offer anything more than state. Examples? (i was state)

Honestly:

Teachers are more dedicated, IMO = I went to both public and private

Private school teachers are strict, which is a good thing

I had a harder time making friends in a public school when i was younger, in private schools, i joined a a few months after the others and i easily made friends.

In a private school, we actually have good working computers and good science labs and so on.

Technology is alot higher in private schools, like digital white boards that make learning fun, like videos and such.

The private school i go to, provides me with a laptop for the exams because i type faster then i write, so i can actually finish the exam.

I can go on and on..

what sucks about private schools is that there are stuck brats :/

anyways,

Good Luck with your son!

Religious private schools are a no-no

I would just avoid it, if your children are interested in religion, I suggest that they learn at home. My father was gonna send me to a Christian school and i'm not even Christian Omg
Yea its got promise doesnt it Sam. Most of the kinda mates are going to that school too.
Look for a modern school with a new age approach because if they are teaching him all that stuff, he won't have to figure it out for himself.
I don't think this private one looks that good to be honest. With students ranging from prep to yr 12 the age contrast is too vast for my liking, they wont focus their teaching resources on just a small number of students like Kings Wood will.

If I had to makes a choice between the two it would be Kings Wood.

Yea the kingswood one does look cool. To be honest the wife is taking a look there now. I am going later this week (baby sitting lmao)
But yea i have yet to be able to fault it.
I have often thought younger (primary school) kids should have a more enjoyable school and only at high school should the learning become more of a burdon.
This school sort of looks fun almost. And loads of pcs so he will love that lol.
