Sit back and listen up because I can for once be of some assistance:
I had the same problem and when my mum and dad split up and my dad got with another woman. Things were very vicious between them so my stepmum kept getting involved and even threatened to punch my mum so I went crazy and tried to kick my dads head in(Not something I am proud of nor do I recommend) but my uncle took me away. I didn't speak with him for a long time then my Nanna was took in to hospital(Whom I have always been very close to) so he rang me and asked if I wanted to go and see her with him, obviously we put everything aside to see my nanna(She is fine by the way, although she did pass wind and waft it toward the doctor because she was loopy because of low oxygen in the blood) and then I started to speak with them a bit more and a bit more and they apologised etc and now it's all like normal my mum and dad even talk to eachother if we see them in the Town Center or whatever. I never thought they would get to that point considering everytime they were in a room together my mum tried to stab him. I know what you are thinking, I am just blabbing and my family are all freaks, true but there is a message. Don't fall out with them, keep up the effort and eventually you will bond, I now speak to Jo(My stepmum) more than I do my dad. Hope I helped.
