Given the heat it produces, I also use mine as a radiator during cold winter nights.
That would happen with computer monitors as well. It's also the reason why I say they are designed for gaming and fast motion graphics. Leaving your TV on without any movement on the image will ruin your plasma TV btw. I knew it was a plasma by the gloss effect in the picture you provided too
