Linux Based Gaming Rig?
#1
Is it possible? I mean really, I'm in now way an expert with Linux; But i've always heard they fail, 100%, with gaming (Gaming as in MW1/MW2/WoW).

Thoughts? Is there a gaming based Linux os? Sounds interesting, Imo.

you can play SOME games in wine, but honestly i think it would be a waste to use linux on a gaming rig cause you'll be severely limited.

Of course you have.. Runescape is browser based, and it only requires Java, which is cross-platform compatible.

OP,
Just use Windows. While WINE might work with some games like WoW (which would require tweaking, btw), you will not be able to play games like MW2, BioShock, and so on.

In this case, Wine would be your best friend. However, stability and compatibility would be a huge issue depending on the game, I would assume...
