Your wireless card maybe cant read the WPA encryption. Try use a different encryption like WPA-PSK or WEP. A tip if you are playing online games. The internet will have a faster response time if you use a cable.

Interesting, I was also having this problem when trying to connect to my network with my iPod touch, the network is purely hosted from my laptop with the wireless card and without an external modem, I thought that might've been the problem. =\
