I really hate this reputation system and I would turn it off on my own forums.
Is there way to disable my reputation in my profile option?

ACP > Configuration > Reputation > Enable Reputation Functionality > No > if you want to turn it off on your forum.

You can't on a per user basis with MyBB.

I thought I can disable it in my profile like on vbulletin.
I remember I disabled my rep on some other forums.

Not true; I suppose if he is an Admin, then he could just disable reputation for the Administrator Group only?
At the top will be the same place you hang from.

You could just move your members into a non-repuation group and don't allow them to set as default and just make it additional...
