How to get an Ubuntu CD for FREE
#1
Hey guys today I revived my free copy of Ubuntu 9.10 CD in the mail. It was 100% free, I didn't have to pay the shipping fee or for the CD itself. I received it in a few weeks, I don't remember, but it takes a longer time if you live farther away from the Ubuntu place.

I'll show you how to get the CD for free.

Step 1 : Go to https://shipit.ubuntu.com/
Step 2 : Decide if you want a Desktop or Server edition
Step 3 : Make a quick account with Launchpad if you don't have one already.
Step 4 : Complete the registration
Step 5 : Fill in the needed information
Step 6 : Click "Submit Request"
Step 7 : You're done

PROOF
I took pictures with my webcam so I had to use the site "cameroid"
I don't know why the pictures are like reversed or something, but that's ok.

Thank you for taking the time to read my thread!

Please check out my other threads, they barely get any attention at all. If you have some spare time please comment saying thanks on all of my how to threads.

I got stickers with 9.04, but i didn't get stickers with 9.10.
Takes a while to arrive in the mail depending where you live, easy to just download the .iso image and burn it.

That's only if you have fast internet, otherwise it's easier just getting the CD. I don't have much interest in Ubuntu, but it's always nice to have to copy just in case.

If you download it as a torrent (which is legal), it's much faster.

What's wrong with burning it to a CD?
