I had 100+ Apps on my ipod touch 2g, includding emulaters with many more games. You'll be fine.

Just unlocked a 2g iPhone for a friend, forgot how slow they were. Put a page of apps on for him and it got absaloutly rooted!

I have 150 Applications, had to set my iPod Touch Icons 5x5 instead of 4x4 so most of them would fit. And that's not much, yet.
