I've been installing with Wubi for hours now lol. Still have a while to go. Look forward to getting my feet wet though.

Good luck, mine worked great, even the wireless card worked Big Grin

I used ndiswrapper to install the drivers ;)

I think mine froze, I left it on all night and it's still not finished.

Free OS and free apps are always a great advantage for linux.

Meh, Wubi gave me some sort of error and closed after I already restarted and got over half way done. I guess the Linux god doesn't find me worthy. That has to be over 5 failed installations for me. WTF LINUX GOD!!

Check if the data isn't corrupted on the disk.

Like I said, I was using Wubi for this one. No disk. I've used disks before and checked though. I've even installed fine but I always get to a blank brown screen after start-up. I don't mind, I just thought I would give it a try to learn a little about it.

Try comparing md5 checksums on that iso image then. It shouldn't fail.

Wubi doesn't give you an iso. It's an installer for Ubuntu that doesn't require any knowledge whatsoever (not that I need that). Like I said though, I'm not too worried about it.
