Nice tutorial!

I personally remove my batteries from my laptops when I'm not going to need them as they recharge constantly otherwise, and last much longer that way. By removing them, the laptop also weighs less.

For hardcore power saving get ubuntu and under clock to 1ghz or .5 ghz.

whatever is the case..my laptop battery stands for 2 hrs max...

I might recommend to adding life to your battery by letting it fully cycle at least twice a week
This means let it fully drain till its dead then fully recharge it. I have had this happen to me as I always had one of my laptops plugged in and then when I would take it somewhere I would only get 45 mins battery life at max when I was supposed to be getting 3-4 hours at least
